The TRACE Advantage:
In today's market there are two options for powering new General Aviation aircraft; the TRACE engine and turboprops. Without any competitions, turboprops have been the only option for airframers. The TRACE engine has several advantages that will provide customers the performance and operational cost savings that a turboprop simply cannot.

Improved performance (speed, range, safety)

While a turbine engine displays constant power degradation as altitude increases, the turbo-charged TRACE maintains cruise power all the way up. An equivalent turboprop engine would need to be rated as much as 1,000 horsepower at sea level to match the TRACE engine's output
Less fuel consumption than a turboprop. More advancements are under development at TRACE to save operators more
Significantly lower cost to purchase, repair and overhaul providing operators with savings from 35% to 50%
Better application than turboprop for float use with less sensitivity to water and corrosion
Maintenance intervals are based on hours only, not hours and cycles as in turboprops. This is critical for those who have numerous short flight patterns
